SQL 2008 R2 installation

I am trying to install Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 and Operation Manager 2012. These products need a database called SQL Server. New features of the latest version of SQL Server database engine has been introduced.

What’s New (Database Engine)

Some topics are below

  • Manageability Enhancements (DB Engine)
  • Scalability and performance Enhancements
  • Security Enhancements
  • The Database size for SQL Server Express edition has been increased to 10 GB
  • Encrypting Connections to SQL Server (more information KB258858)

These are the areas in which the Database Engine has been enhanced for both SQL Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008.

This schema explains the structure of SQL Server
