Email address policy on Exchange 2013

When creating an email address, we should follow one policy that decided according to company rule. For example, some companies use, some use first letter of first name +

During Exchange 2013 installation, a default policy is created.

Let’s begin to customize it.

Connect to EAC and then open mail flow. You will see email address policies


To add a new policy, click on “+” Icon and type a name and then click on “+”


Choose your default domain and then define which email address format you are willing to use and save it.


When you saved it, you will turn back the main page and choose which users will use it. I’ll apply it to all users in my Exchange Server.


After the configuration has been saved, you will be warned that you must apply the policy to enable it


After it is applied, you have new warning message, click on Yes
