vCloud Director 5.1 Installation Step 1 – Creating a SQL DB

Before doing anything about vCloud Director 5.1.1, you need to create a DB for it. Actually the steps are really easy and you don’t have to be Database Administrator. When you open and connect to SQL management studio, open a new query

when your new query is opened, copy the script below and execute it. before execute it, change the MDF and LDF file paths and password that are highlighted below.

the script is going to create a database named “vcloud” and a user”vcloud” and assign the user as a DB administrator on to vcloud DB.

(NAME = N’vcloud’, FILENAME = N’C:\vcloud.mdf’, SIZE = 100MB, FILEGROWTH = 10% )
